Amy Lawrence BSN, MSN, PNP, IBCLC

Amy C. Lawrence graduated with her Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from The University of Wisconsin. After moving to Georgia, she received her Master in Nursing from Kennesaw State University and her Certifications as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

She also holds an International Board Certification as a Lactation Consultant. Even though she has worked in various hospital settings, she prefers the intimate and personal in-office environment, and the ability to help educate and teach families.

Amy has been an International Certified Lactation Consultant since 1992. She was on the ground floor in creating comprehensive lactation services at local hospitals in Athens, GA . Amy has taught multiple lactation classes covering birth through weaning. She has also assisted patients in the hospital, as well as, outpatient follow-ups. She encourages family support and education for successful family growth. 

Amy nursed five children and supported three daughters and two daughter-in-laws who successfully breastfed eleven grandchildren! She has a passion for the benefits of breastfeeding and continues to educate herself to provide the best care for her patients and their success. 

Amy has 5 grown children and lives in Athens. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading, swimming and taking piano lessons.
